Nap Time

Well, to continue with tradition, we made our annual after Christmas shopping trip today. Apparently we were out just a little too long and some us crashed. Not sure as adults we could fall asleep that easily. Doesn't she look comfortable though? Who falls asleep in Target????

Christmas In Oklahoma

Who knew we had to travel all the way to Oklahoma just to have a white Christmas...well almost a white Christmas...does the day after count? We dressed Kalleigh up in her snow gear. She made snowballs with her dad but had a hard time picking them up. Guess she is not used to the mittens. She tasted the snow but didn't like it. In a few more years we will strap on some skiis and let her fly on the bunny slopes. We hope everyone had a very merry Christmas.

Tree Trimming Party

We went to a tree trimming party at our friends house over the weekend. We had a great time and Kalleigh had an absolute ball. She loved Ian's toys and now we know what to get her for Christmas. Thank you Shaundra for having us over and for taking this great photo of our baby girl. Can we really still call her a baby?

Christmas Pics Anyone?

I mean really...who knew it would be this much of a challenge to take one simple Christmas photo of a one year old. Under the tree, throwing things...for pete's sake. How do the Target photo people do it? After this 45 min challenge, Trent and I don't really care what the photo looks like. You should see her photo with Santa, not much better. Alright, hopefully we will get a decent photo soon. Stay tuned....

Happy Thanksgiving

Kalleigh was a little sick over Thanksgiving, but was a trooper throughout the weekend. But feeling a little bit under the weather didn't stop her from rooting
on her favorite college football team. GO HOKIES!! She enjoyed watching them trounce over UVA. But we won't forget her daddy's love of the Sooners and I am sure she will be watching OU play in the Big 12 Championship this weekend against Missouri.
So this website is not all about Kalleigh. Trent is doing an intership in order to graduate in May of 2008. He goes to Wake Forest University on free weekends and works in the cancer reasearch lab. So someday, when we find the cure for cancer, we can say that Trent played a part in finding that cure. I won't give you the details of what he did at the lab, but it was pretty cool.

Spaghetti Anyone?

This is what happened the first time that we gave Kalleigh spaghetti to eat on her own. Boy she had fun. She went straight into the bath tub when she was done. We knew she was finished when she took handfulls of spaghetti and threw it all over the carpet.
Just an update on Kalleigh and all of the things she is doing. She is walking everywhere, getting into everything and enjoys the beechnut flavor of ham, pineapple, and rice. She has decided that Mardi is her new best firiend and Mardi is handling it well.
Kalleigh has become attached to grandma so the rest of us are out of luck when she is around, especially grandpa.

1st Birthday!

Kalleigh turned one on November 9, 2007. Grandma, Grandpa, and uncle Blake came over. We ordered pizza and had cake and ice cream. She wasn't so sure about the whole hat thing though. It didn't stay on long. We all had a great time and can't believe that it has been a year since she was born. Where does the time go?

Of course Kalleigh had to pick the biggest pumpkin. She had fun, though. Who knew that in October it would be 95 degrees outside! Dad didn't have much fun. :)

Ah, too cute. Kalleigh went as princess leia for Halloween. Her dad couldn't have been more proud.
