I mean seriously, how bad can Santa really be that Kalliegh does not want to sit in his lap. Only a little bribery with a cookie got her this close. We are off to Oklahoma City for Christmas this year! More updates to come.

Christmas with Santa

Halloween

Here is Kalleigh dressed up as a Jawa for Halloween. She had so much fun trick or treating and ate so much candy. She might have had more fun passing out candy to the trick or treaters that came to our door (ok my parents door). It was a great night. By the way my mom and I sewed her costume from scratch. Trent cut little holes in the hood to stick her pig tails through so she would look like a female Jawa.

Summers Gone....
OK so it has been awhile since the blogspot was updated, but have no fear, we are back up and running. Since we last left you, summer has ended, fall is here and we are busy back at school. Some fun things that have happened include: moving to Fredericksburg, starting new jobs, Kalleigh learned to swim by herself, we went to see Star Wars characters at the mall (see picture to come), and we traveled to NC to catch up with some friends. Some unexciting things that happened: we are currently in the process of evicting our tenants.
Oh - almost forgot - we are expecting our 2nd child in March. Things are looking good right now.

Fun in the Sun!
Although summer is not officially here, we decided to start off a little early due to the heat wave we have had to endure. Nothing says summer like a little kiddie pool in the backyard. Although the water was a little chilly, Kalleigh would at least stand in the water. It was refreshing. Check out the video of her playing catch with mommy!

Also, here are some still shots of Kalleigh playing!

2.5 pounds

This is my parents' 18 year old cat, BeBe. She now weighs in at 2.5 pounds, shaven. She is quite old and not able to groom herself properly so my folks took her to the groomer to be shaven. She is feeling much better since the hairballs have been removed. She is a happy kitty who is enjoying being comfortable.

Potty Training 101

We have briefly begun the potty training regement. Before bath time everynite (Ok most nites) Kalleigh will sit on her potty and read. Of course, this is after she has climbed in it and on it and played with all the parts of the potty. So far she has not done her business in the potty but at least she will sit for a few min and read. She did hop up one time, run into her room, and pee on the carpet though. Her new routine is to PPIT (poo poo in tub). Without fail, she will poo poo while taking her evening bath. Trent and I are going through disinfectant like crazy. Any ideas on how to get her to stop? I think we are going to shorten her bath time. Oh well! We will keep you posted.

Easter 2008
Here is a picture of Kalleigh holding her first easter egg that she dyed. She had more fun throwing the eggs that actually decorating but hey, what are toddlers for? We spent Easter in Fawn Lake this year with my parents. It was nice and re
laxing!
Granddaddy is teaching Kalleigh how to blow bubbles.
She is a quick learner and very independent. She must do it on her own without any help. Needless to say, we ran out of bubble solution very quickly.

The weather has finally turned nice and we are able to play outside again. This is a video of Kalleigh sliding down the slide at her daycare. She has no fear...going head first everytime! We love to watch her having fun and we know she is happy with her daycare provider because she always is happy when we drop her off in the morning. However, saying goodbye is still hard and we can't wait to pick her up in the afternoons.

Ding Dong...Here Comes The S - Mobile
There comes a time in everyone's life where they say to themselves, "oh my gosh, I can't believe that happened to me...I am one of 'those parents'." That moment came last nite for Trent when he successfully locked Kalleigh in the car while he was still outside of the car. There she was, just sitting in her car seat, playing with the keys. Trent thought, "I can make it to the front seat before she hits any buttons." Wrong. She hit the lock button as soon as he shut the door. Oh, but it gets better. She then dropped the keys on the floor. What do you do next? Of course...call the fire department. Now, this incident occurred while picking her up at daycare. There just so happens to be a fire department across the street...maybe 50 yards away. So Trent thinks...I will call them and they can just walk over, very nonchalantly. Wrong again. They got in their truck (not the little one, but the one with the big, extended ladder) and promptly turned on the sirens as loud as they could possibly go and rolled over to daycare. It took them less than a minute to free her and she was content the whole time...just watching things going on. All's well that ends well. The rest of the day didn't go much better for him...let's just say there was an incident at Wal-Mart (temper tantrum) and then another incident at Chipotle (temper tantrum) but that is for another day.Friday, February 1, 2008
The daycare ladies that Kalleigh hangs out with love to do her hair. We are digging the urban do that she came home in today. We think they are tired of her hair getting in her eyes. We are not sure how she sits still for them for so long. We barely can get one ponytail in her before she wants down. But it is cute none the less.

Go Hokies!

We went to my cousin's wedding this weekend in Lynchburg, VA. I must say that there were definite high points. One being that Mark and Merideth got married. Another was watching my grandpa walk up and down the aisle. The highlight of the reception was when the Hokie Bird made his appearance. I think this is a great picture of Blake, the Hokie Bird, and me. We had a lot of fun. And thanks Mark and Jen for taking such good care of my baby girl.

Having Fun
We took Kalleigh to Fair Oaks Mall over the weekend where they have a nice kids playground for little kids to have fun. Hopefully this video will work. She loved the slide. When it was time to leave, she was kicking and screaming. She did not want to leave. We will be back soon. To view video, click on black box and then click on play button.

Pictionary
Many of you know my dad and I have mad drawing skills. So what could be more entertaining than he and I being on the same team? I would like you to just look at these pictures and see if you can figure out what they are. By the way...these are all dad's drawings.

Ok let's start with the first one. I guessed a sun, or perhaps swiss cheese. Nope...it is a coconut. OK the next one. A circle, a square, and a triange. Yep, you guessed it...outerspace. The last one could be my favorite. It is a satelite dish...you know the ones that are attached to houses...like Direct TV. This just gives you a glimpse of how we brought in 2008, laughing hysterically. The funniest part is that Dad and I didn't lose by very much.
